About Us

Grammar TEC is Auckland’s premier Rugby Club boasting more registered players at all levels than any other club in Auckland. We have 3 fabulous facilities located at Orakei Domain, Cornwall Park and Thomas Bloodworth Park (Shore Rd) with clubrooms and lit fields for training and play. Our history dates back to 1873 and we were a founding member of the Auckland Rugby Football Union formed in 1883 via our Grafton history. Grammar TEC is a historic club with generations of representation and All Blacks we are very proud of. Names like Bert Cooke, Wilson Whineray, Fred Allen, Kel Tremain, and the Whetton brothers Alan and Gary have all worn our colours. In 2014 Grammar Old Boys celebrated 100 years of Rugby whilst Grafton celebrated 140 years.We currently have 10 teams playing in senior Auckland Rugby competitions and over 1,000 registered juniors spread over 3 modules at our well maintained facilities.
